Vanessa specializes in helping teens, college students, and adults work through anxiety, relational challenges, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. With training in trauma-informed care and the option to integrate faith, she guides clients toward healing, confidence, and meaningful connection.
Vanessa received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Presbyterian College and her Master of Social Work (M.S.W) from the University of South Carolina. She is licensed with the South Carolina State Board of Social Work Examiners as a Clinical Social Worker (LISW-CP). She is registered through Project Best to provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has received her certification in EMDR.
Vanessa has been providing therapy for over 15 years. Her professional background includes public service and clinical practice at public schools, community outpatient clinics, centers for developmental disorders, and private practice settings.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys cooking, dancing, and time with her family and friends. Some of her self-care activities include exercising, being out in nature, listening to music, and traveling.
