Jennifer Ball, LPCA

With experience as a collegiate tennis player and coach, Jennifer is uniquely positioned to help athletes and high achieving individuals overcome mental blocks and reach performance goals

Jennifer specializes in helping athletes, adolescents, and high-achieving adults navigate anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions through compassionate, evidence-based therapy.  As a former collegiate athlete and coach, Jennifer understands the pressure of high performance and the emotional toll that can come with constantly striving, pushing, and achieving.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2019) and Master of Science in Management and Leadership (XXXX) from Southern Weslyan University.  She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (XXXX) from Liberty University.  During the pursuit of her education she conducted Honors College research on the genetic basis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and competed as a tennis player and later served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis teams.

She has collected diverse experiences of working as a crisis counselor, within group homes, and in both non-profit and private practice settings. These experiences have deeply shaped her passion for empowering adolescents and adults to unlock their potential and grow into the people they were created to be.

Jennifer strives to create a completely judgment-free environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow. She is passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, build resilience, overcome adversity, and move toward the life they want to live.

Jennifer utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is an evidence-based trauma treatment that uses rapid eye movements to help clients reprocess distressing experiences, reduce associated emotional and physical sensations, and replace traumatic images with more liberating ones.

Jennifer is married with two cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing pool, cooking, learning or trying something new, and exercising — whether that’s in the gym or playing pickleball.
